Huntersville sits about 14 miles north of Uptown Charlotte, with a lake on each side. Lake Norman follows its northwest border. Mountain Island Lake, Charlotte's water supply, runs along the southwest.
I-77 goes through the middle of town. Exit 23 at Gilead Road reaches the original town, and Exit 25 at NC 73 takes you to Birkdale Village.
It started as Craighead and took its new name in 1873 from Robert Boston Hunter, a landowner and cotton farmer. Few places around here have grown faster. Huntersville had 3,014 people in 1990 and 61,376 in 2020.
Huntersville is mostly single-family houses, about three homes in four. Most of them are not old: close to 59% were built between 2000 and 2019, and the median home dates to 2004. By then granite was already reaching more kitchens, after its price fell in the 1990s. A home from those years is now 7 to 26 years old.

Install day.
We fabricate your countertops and install them ourselves.
Old top out, new top in, and a plumber hooks everything back up in the afternoon.
