What people ask us
How long does a countertop installation take?
A standard kitchen, up to about 70 sq ft, is in and out in 7 business days. More than 70 sq ft or a full-height backsplash in the same stone takes 10 to 12 business days, and a full renovation can take up to a month.
When does the 7-day clock start?
The day you sign the estimate and pay the deposit.
Is my install date written down?
Yes. Your install date goes in the contract before you sign.
How do I get an estimate?
Send photos, a sketch or your cabinet plans, and rough measurements if you have them. Get your online estimate within 24 hours. Once we have your cabinet layout and the stone you like, we can give you a ballpark price in minutes.
What if I don't have measurements?
Sebastian comes to your home to measure, and we bring stone samples.
Is the ballpark my final price?
If the measured square footage matches, your ballpark becomes your price. If it's more or less, the price can move with it.
What does the estimate include?
Your estimate lists the stone, the fabrication and the installation as separate lines. Removing your old countertops is its own line too. Your formal estimate comes by email, and when you say yes, you sign your contract online with DocuSign.
Do you ask for a deposit?
On larger jobs, yes, when you sign. Small jobs don’t need one.
How can I pay?
By check, cash, ACH or wire transfer.
Do you offer financing?
Ask us about financing through Wisetack.
Can I see how the veins will look before you cut?
Yes. Before we cut, we show you the vein layout.
Can I see the slab in person?
Yes. You can go see the slab in person at one of our stone suppliers; we design the layout and cut it.
What happens on install day?
Old top out, new top in, and a plumber hooks everything back up in the afternoon. We remove and haul away your old countertops.
Do you install backsplashes?
Yes. We install a full-height backsplash in the same stone.
Do I need to reseal my countertop every year?
Not every year. On granite, a good sealer lasts about 10 to 15 years. Quartz is not sealed, and quartzite depends on the slab: ask us about yours.
Who will I talk to?
Sebastian Anda Sereni, the CEO. Call or text (980) 351-2864, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Sebastian answers.
Do you fabricate your own countertops?
Yes. We fabricate and install our own countertops.
Which stones do you work with?
Quartzite, quartz, porcelain and granite.
Do you work with porcelain?
Yes. Porcelain is cut with a dedicated blade.
Quartzite or quartz: what is the difference?
Quartzite is a natural stone cut from a quarry. Quartz is engineered from quartz and resin. Quartz does not like direct heat or sun, so use a trivet and keep it indoors.
Which areas do you serve?
Serving Mooresville, Cornelius, Davidson, Huntersville, Denver and Charlotte.
Are you a family business?
Yes. Stone Guys is the Anda family. Our dad taught the trade to his sons, José and Sebastian Jr., and together we founded Stone Guys in 2018.

Response from the owner
Thanks Lynn!
We had an amazing experience working with Stoneguys! Sebastian communicated everything well, and helped us work within our budget. His team did a great job with installation and even came back out to do a quick touch up job when they noticed something was incorrect. We just finished a whole home renovation and this is the only part that went well from start to finish!
Response from the owner
Thanks Adam!
