What it is
Is quartz right for your kitchen?
Quartz countertops are made, not quarried. Crushed natural quartz, about 90 to 95% of the slab, is bound with resin and pigment and pressed into slabs. The result is a consistent surface: the slab you pick looks like the sample.
Why people ask for it now
It is still one of the most chosen countertops in America. In the NKBA’s 2027 report, 74% of designers expect quartz to stay popular. People pick it because it looks clean and asks very little of you day to day.
What designers ask for
Designers use quartz to run the same surface from the counter up the wall. In Houzz’s 2026 study, engineered quartz was the top material for slab backsplashes, at 39%. Neutrals lead: 96% of designers in the NKBA’s 2027 report name them the most popular colors.
When you sell your home
In Zillow’s 2026 analysis of home sales, listings that mentioned quartz countertops sold for 3% more than expected.

| What it is | Engineered from quartz and resin | Natural stone, cut from a quarry |
| Look | A consistent pattern | Natural veining, different in every slab |
Why people choose it
- Consistent color and pattern, slab to slab
- Easy daily cleaning with mild soap and water
- Resists stains when spills are wiped up
- Wide range of colors, from plain white to marble-look veining
How to care for it
- Heat resistant, not heatproof: always use a trivet or hot pad
- Too much heat can discolor the resin
- Keep it indoors: direct sun over time can yellow or fade the resin
- Wipe spills right away and keep the surface dry
- No oven cleaner or straight bleach on the surface
Before we cut it
We design the layout of your slab.
We plan where every piece comes out of the slab, so the veins flow from one piece to the next and your countertops look right. Before we cut, we show you the layout.

Quartz comes in many patterns. We send you photos of the options, and before we cut, you see where the veins go, so the pattern lines up where you want it.
- Want to see the slab in person? Go see it at one of our stone suppliers. We design the layout and cut it.
- Love a stone over budget? We show you one from the same family that costs less.
- Want a full-height backsplash? We install it in the same stone.
- Looking for a specific color? We help you find it, including remnants.

What our customers say
Juan and his team were quick to provide a quote and installed the countertop about a week after i signed the contract. They were professional and careful. I have a large farmhouse sink in the main countertop as well as a stove top cut out in the island. My quartz countertop looks wonderful and it was a competitive price. I would recommend.View on Google
Sebastian and his team have done a fantastic job. We got a butcher replaced with beautiful quartz. To be honest, there was some misunderstanding in the beginning but Sebastian is a man of his word. …View on Google
